Just wanted to let you know that the subscription management plugin I have used since the beginning of Plus was no longer being updated, so we switched to an alternative. This work was being done today, and some people noticed a lack of accessibility during the transition, but it should be complete now and everything should be back to normal.
You shouldn’t see much that’s different, but on the back end it really was like swapping out the entire THC+ engine. Luckily, I haven’t seen any widespread issues.
Some things on your My Account page will be different but now you have clearer options to cancel, change subscription method, or update your info.
If you have any problems accessing the show as of now, please let me know in the comments so I can address them with the developer while I still have them. Thanks!
***Update: Yes, there is an issue. It seems that being logged in allows access to posts and post text, but the MP3 files and podcast player still read “Protected Content.” This is an issue that is being worked on now. Hopefully will be fixed within 24 hours. Sorry for the trouble!
***Update #2: I think I fixed it myself! I kept going through all the settings page by page while my dev was unavailable, and I think I found what was tripping us up. Some old data still attached to the last plugin. Let me know if you still don’t have access, but both of my test accounts work find and what effects one of us, will usually be site-wide.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience, I know it’s frustrating, and it’s definitely stressful for me. Given all the things that could have gone wrong, I think our guy did a great job. Everyone’s accounts are good, we just had one unchecked box deep in the settings, and now I think we’re back in business. You will see odd data under “My Account” but that’s being worked out too. Clearly not as big of a priority as podcast access though!
